These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of CE Review (“cereview.com”). By accessing the platform, creating an account, or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the site immediately. Please also review our Privacy Policy.
1. About the Platform
CE Review is a comprehensive civil engineering platform providing a curated Question Bank, practice assessments, preboard exams, published articles, and the CER Engine (a browser-based structural and load diagramming tool). The platform is designed to support both academic coursework and professional study. Features, content, and system capabilities are subject to ongoing development and update.
2. Accounts and Eligibility
Accounts are created via secure third-party authentication (“Continue with Google”) or supported fallback registration. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities conducted under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and refrain from impersonation or unauthorized account creation. Limit one account per individual. You must be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction.
3. Acceptable Use
When using CE Review, you agree not to:
- Bypass, disable, or interfere with security features, rate-limiting, or access controls.
- Scrape, mass-download, or systematically extract the Question Bank, articles, or platform content for redistribution or competitive use.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code beyond standard browser interaction.
- Use the platform to harass, defraud, or harm others, or violate any applicable local or international laws.
- Upload unlawful, infringing, or malicious content through user profile fields.
- Probe or test system vulnerabilities without explicit authorization.
Violation of these terms may result in immediate suspension or termination of access.
4. Subscriptions and Pricing
Certain advanced or premium tiers may be introduced in the future. Currently, no active payment processing or billing features are enabled on the platform. If and when paid services launch, these Terms will be updated prior to any commercial transaction.
5. Intellectual Property
All platform content, including Question Bank items, exams, articles, CER Engine software, branding, and layout design, is the property of CE Review or its licensors and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. Content is licensed strictly for your personal study and professional reference. Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or resale is strictly prohibited.
6. User-Generated Content
Information you submit to your profile (such as display names, avatars, or biographies) remains yours. By posting, you grant CE Review a limited license to display such information as necessary for platform functionality. You warrant that you hold all necessary rights to any content you provide.
7. Service Availability
The platform is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure access to the site and reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature without prior notice.
8. Disclaimers and Limitations
8.1 Educational Purpose
CE Review is an independent educational platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), the Board of Civil Engineering, any university, or specific external review institutions. Practice exams are designed solely for study and assessment practice.
8.2 No Guarantee of Results
Use of this platform does not guarantee success on any professional licensure examination or academic evaluation.
8.3 Content Accuracy
While we strive for precision, civil engineering data, formulas, and solutions are provided without warranty of absolute accuracy. Users should verify critical calculations against official engineering codes and standards.
8.4 CER Engine and Calculation Tools
The CER Engine and any analytical calculation tools on the platform are built exclusively for learning, teaching, and exam practice. They are not professional engineering software, have not been certified for structural design, and do not replace independent engineering judgment. Do not use outputs from these tools for actual structural design, construction, permitting, or real-world engineering decisions. Exporting diagrams for educational handouts, lecture slides, or presentations is permitted; relying on internal computations for engineering design is strictly prohibited and done at your own risk.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CE Review and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or related to your use of the platform, exam performance, or reliance on site content and tools.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts immediately if we determine a violation of these Terms or a risk to platform integrity. You may close your account at any time by contacting support.
11. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms periodically as the platform evolves. Continued use of the site following any modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any legal disputes arising from these Terms shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the appropriate courts in the Philippines.
